My payment was declined for an invalid postal code, but I still see the amount on my credit card.

It may happen that a transaction refused in the application still appears in your credit card's pending transactions. This is only a pre-authorization and the amount will not be charged. An uncharged pre-authorization usually takes up to 5 working days to disappear.
